About: Appventure is a smart device that guides its users by offering tips, tools and geolocation during their chosen/self-guided hike. Some of the features include suggested equipment and tips offered by experts that allow the user to be best equipt for their easy or difficult hike. Tips are optional via geolocation and are uploaded by the users with an account to help guide others who use the app. Some hikes are predetermined based on the users location but off-trail tracking is optional as well. 

Problem: The challenge is understanding what features are most important to hikers and what will keep them coming back to the app. Also, designing a sturdy device that the user can trust, not only with tips before and during hikes but for their safety.

Solution: Create a sturdy case that functions in broad daylight and recharges the phones battery via solar energy, limits the amount of equipment required during hiking, and tracks the user on any predetermined/self-guided hike as a safety precaution. The device is also equipped with an emergency function.
